I really really wanted to LOVE it and give it 5 stars, but unfortunately it never gets really hot. Things definitely take all day to cook, even overnight. What was I going to do, I needed this thing for my tailgate which was 2 days from receiving it a 2 hour drive away. All in all, the thing worked well enough. It still leaked, but certainly less than the other counter top slow cooker I've relied on in years passed. Not sure how many years I'll get out of it, materials appear and it feels pretty cheap. Was I disappointed? Not so much that my mulled cider couldn't take care of. But this is the world we live in now - hand grenades and horseshoes ya know! It's does get really hot on the outside when turned up on high, so beware of touching it. I find nothing wrong with it except the fact that the lid is not all that easy to clean. I called the manufacturer and they confirmed that the TRAVEL slow cooker has been designed for HOUSEHOLD use only. I guess tailgating with your current slow cooker will work just as good if not better because my wife said cleaning this TRAVEL slow cooker was a complete pain in the roast butt. One star because I feel I was duped and it's harder to clean than a regular crock pot. Top reviews from other countries

As a camper I was thrilled when I found a crock pot that looked like a cooler! I have cooked several things in it and found the temperature to be spot on and it is very easy to clean (just pop it in the dishwasher - no more heavy ceramic to deal with!). I am really looking forward to using it camping this year - cooking inside my trailer and then easily carrying it out to the picnic table for a meal! Great product by Presto!

I've used it once and it did fine. It's squat shape and locking lid make it perfect tp take in the car with no fear of roll overs. If I had to find a fault at this point, it needs a pilot light.i

It says it is an 8 Quart cooker, quarts which equals approx. 7.5 litres. This only fits 6 litres....so it more like 6.34 quart cooker. RIP OFF!!!
