The 5.7L V8 was a very popular engine for Chevrolet and has seen many unlike variations in its design over the years. From 1987 to 1995, a throttle body-injected 5.7L V8 engine was used in everything, from the El Camino to the Silverado, making information technology widely found in cars and trucks still on the road today. This system uses a throttle torso, which volition occasionally need to be cleaned to ensure proper lubrication and functionality. In this case, the project vehicle is a 1995 Chevrolet Silverado with a 5.7L TBI engine.

Step one

Pop the hood and remove the wing nut on the elevation of the air cleaner. Elevator the air cleaner assembly off of the throttle body and set information technology to the side.

Step 2

Attach the harbinger included with the throttle body cleaner to the nozzle on the can. Place a shop rag around the throttle body to take hold of any excess cleaner.

Step three

Hold open up the throttle torso using your thumb and spray the inside of the throttle body with the cleaner in curt bursts. Spray the throttle linkage on the exterior of the throttle body with short bursts as well.

Remove the store rag. Reinstall the air cleaner assembly with the wing nut then close the hood.
